BLANKET DELIVERY UPDATE -
July 27, 2006

A friend of mine went to work with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans and took 17 blankets along with her. Below is her email update along with the photos that she took.

 

Hey there,
I'm back in Houston. All I got were these four photos...most people were very shy and asked that I not take their photo. I left 4 blankets at a distribution center where people come to get food, clothing, etc. I'm sure they were snatched up immediately. I tried to give the blankets to children only, but when the young man in the foreground of the photo of the two guys inside the beat up truck said he would really like one, I realized they bring comfort to all ages. It was awesome. I am planning to go back and will be happy to take more down.
