Are blankets still needed? ABSOLUTELY! You may think that everything is back to normal along the Gulf Coast, but sadly, that's very far from the truth. Many people are just now moving out of FEMA trailers and now need all kinds of supplies to replenish their new homes. Others are still in trailers and feeling forgotten.
YES - I am still collecting blankets! Currently, I am not planning another in-person delivery. I have been acting as an intermediary between people in need and those who have blankets to share.
Where to Ship?
I have several requests for blankets! Fill out the "I have blankets to send" form and I'll give you an address!

7/14/07 - NEW PLACE TO SEND BLANKETS:
MARCH OF DIMES IN GULFPORT, MS
Valerie C. in Biloxi sent me the following information:
The Mississippi Chapter of the March of Dimes and Coastal Family Health Center Announce New Program: This mobile health center will be able to provide prenatal care for moms-to-be on the Gulf Coast. After Hurricane Katrina the March of Dimes held several meetings with health care professionals from along the coast. In every meeting, concern about the lack of transportation was at the top of the list of problems for pregnant women along with the growing number of women not seeking prenatal care. Coast Family Health Center heard the community concerns as well and is partner provider for the March of Dimes mom & baby mobile health center. With mobile capability to bring care to women we believe this mobile health center will help our community deliver healthy babies, which is one more step in the direction of recovery.
WHAT IS NEEDED? Blankets of any size (baby or adult) to hand out to the mobile clinic clients!
