10/6/07 - I received a beautiful Christmas card! "I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful blankets you donated to Cameron, LA for Rita 2005. My 8 year old son loved it. We are still in a FEMA camper but the Knights of Columbus are coming in January 2008 to build us a house. God has blessed us with great wonderful people." --
Darlene and her son Paul
6/24/06 - "Wanted to let you know that my family received blankets from you. We lost everything when Rita came through. I have a 17 and 14 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. We have really enjoyed the blankets, they came in handy. Each one got their own blanket. Really means a lot, for what you guys are doing for us. We appreciate you caring for us. Thanks So Much. God bless you." -- Diana R.
4/7/06 -"Thank you for making another delivery to Cameron Parish. The Blankets for the Gulf project just keeps warming the hearts of so many people here. You are right, you had the best part of the job in hand delivering the blankets. I wish I could have met you when you came. You and all the people that have made the blankets deserve a big hug in person. Even though my family has not received a blanket we appreciate the love that has been shown to this place that we call home and these people that we love. Seeing how far some of the blankets come from just shows how a project like this really reflects the love and caring of one for another. Thanks again!" --Suzanne
3/23/06 - Many of you have looked at the photos of my delivery and the devastation in the area. Now I have an even more powerful image to share with you. These photos were sent by Terri with her kind Thank You email - they show her lovely home before Rita and then what remains now. They speak for themselves...

3/23/06 -"My four-year-old son received one of your blankets. He loves his blanket and sleeps with it every night. Thank you so much." - Shelley
3/23/06 - "The notes on the blankets humbled me. There was a little quilted blanket in there from Girl Scout Troop 333 in Miami, FL., with a note. I will cherish this always. Wanted to thank each and every one of them. We know that every stitch in all the blankets were stitched in love and concern for all of the Hurricane stricken areas. Penny in California, thanks, the spring color does make everything a little brighter around here. Thanks again to all of you who made this possible. May God bless each and every one of you." - Mona
3/21/06 - "We have received the blankets! They are very beautiful. Please forward our sincere thanks to those who took the time and expense to provide such beautiful reminders of the generosity of God's children to us in our time of need. May God bless and keep each of you". - Carla
2/25/06 - "Just want to thank you all for the beautiful blankets. Its more than appreciated and it seems like a lot of love was put into these blankets and that's the way I will be caring for them (with a lot of love). Thanks you all!" -- Delilah
2/4/06 - " Thanks so much. We received the blankets today and we love all of them. We especially loved seeing where they came from. Two had letters from the children who had made them. So sweet. We are so awed at all the people who have gotten together to help people like us. Thank you so much for the gifts." -- Vickie
1/20/06 -- I wanted to share a very kind Thank You email that was sent to Barbie G. in California by Tamatha in Louisiana: "I would just like to thank you for the afgan that you have made for my husband and myself. I received it yesterday and slept with it last night. I love it, It made me think about the one my mom made for me when i was younger. I'm glad Ip have an afghan instead of another kind of blanket because I lost the one I had that my mom made for me in the storm, so I greatly appreciate it and it really means alot so again thank you so very much I will cherish it always."
12/22/05 -- Received today:
"Thank you for the blanket you gave me. I will enjoy it during this cold weather. I am 5 and in kindergarden. Thank you very much."
"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you have done for our community. I didn't receive a blanket from your organization, but I did receive one from another. Your organization, like so many others have helped us in so many ways. God has blessed us in so many ways. Even though we have lost our houses and possessions, we lost NO lives. And for that we are thankful to God. God Bless you and your organization. You will always be in our prayers and thoughts."
